At Aspiring Hands, Inc. our staff takes an active role in helping our team members throughout the community in Toledo, Ohio. From helping people learn new skills, to supported living and all services in between, our staff works with each individual to find their personalized capabilities, while being able to give back to the community at the same time.

 

Bryon Schaefer

Bryon has a BS in Neuroscience from Muskingum College and a MBA from the University of Kansas. He and Jerry founded the company four years ago focusing on changing the way Day Programs are developed and more importantly finding a role in the community for our team members. He has developed a supported living division, and is focusing on establishing an after school program, and is creating supported employment opportunities for the team members.

April Andrus

After School Program Director

April has earned her degree in Elementary and Special Education from Bowling Green State University. She also possesses a certificate and training for Autism. April has worked in the Day Program for the past two years and is helping to establish an after school program for students with developmental disabilities.

April says, “I have always had a passion for helping the individuals that may need some extra support find real opportunities to contribute their talents to the community.”

Rich Weaver

Day Program Director

Rich has worked in the field for 14+ years as direct support staff and 13 years managing supported living programs covering all aspects of H/PC services in the home and community. For the past two years Rich has been running the recreation program providing individuals fun and enriching opportunities in the community with their peers.
